Merry Dancers

NorthernLights-02Shetland is a very good place to see the Northern Lights, or as they are called here, the Merry Dancers. It is a very appropriate name as it is great to see them jumping in the sky. Yesterday was a relatively clear night (cold too) and between 22.00 and 23.00 activity was predicted (AuroraWatch.uk). Beautiful greens and reds in the sky. Faint, but with a longer exposure on the camera the colour comes out as you can see. Click on the image to see a few more photo’s.
