Finally my proper Guide training has started! The Scottish Tour guide Association (STGA) prides itself in having a very rigorous and professional system in place for making sure guides in Scotland know what they are talking about. Blue Badge guides are qualified to guide for the whole of Scotland, Yellow Badge guides for specific local points of interest like castles or archaeological sites and last but not least the regional guides who hold a Green Badge. Although I have been guiding for the last two years I am looking forward to have the opportunity to learn even more about Shetland, its history and all other aspects involved. Guiding is FUN!
