Good morning! This view from my kitchen window is one of the fascinating aspects of the beautiful low light in winter. I sometimes forget that it is a privilege to be able to enjoy it almost every day. In Dutch as in English these rays are often referred to as a ‘Jakob’s Ladder’. In English I found this phenomena sometimes is also referred to as ‘Backstays of the sun’ or ‘Buddha’s rays’. I like this last one in particular.
